Responsibilities
Works closely with employees and leaders to provide guidance on HR processes and strategies
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with company and union leadership
Supports corporate business unit goals in compliance with HR policies and practices
Participates in union negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements
Interprets labor contract provisions and past practices to support business activities
Consults on investigations, employment agency complaints, and corrective actions
Delivers training on HR policies and procedures
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or other applicable discipline
2+ years' experience in an HR support/analytical role
Project leadership experience
Strong technical understanding of HR subject matter and practices
Strong analytical skills
5+ years' experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role in a union environment (preferred)
Strong communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills (preferred)
Conflict resolution skills (preferred)
Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements, participating in union negotiations, processing grievances, etc. (preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (preferred)
