About the role

Responsibilities
- Independently perform structural calculations for piping and equipment supports (SIA, Eurocode)
- Develop detailed engineering solutions
- Model load-bearing structures in 3D
- Piping structural analysis and design (EN, ASME)
- Design special pipe supports using FEM
- Improve processes and procedures
- Act as technical contact for junior colleagues, including quality assurance
- Technical coordination within projects
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, project cost estimates and inspections/approvals
- Deputize for the department head
Requirements
- Degree (Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor or Master) in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in steel structure design projects
- Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotech industries is an advantage
- Understanding of force flows and structural behavior
- Familiarity with structural analysis software is an advantage, ideally Dlubal RFEM and Rohr2
- CAD skills and BIM experience are advantageous, e.g. Tekla Structures, Tricad MS, E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit
- Fluent German and English, spoken and written
