About the role
- Accountant role maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance in Switzerland and Bulgaria. Lead financial insights, cross-functional collaboration, and operational support in a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for the Swiss entity
- Trend and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements, ensuring they meet local statutory and compliance requirements
- Manage accruals and related accounting processes
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Swiss regulations
- Prepare and file all applicable tax returns for the entity
- Oversee internal and external communications
- Oversee Accounts payable and check payments
- Responsible for the controlling of the Swiss entity
- Assist in the development of internal reporting and ad hoc analysis as required
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a similar environment
- German language proficiency is mandatory in Switzerland
- German language for Bulgaria is an advantage
- Professional Microsoft Excel and ERP knowledge
- Strong Background with Swiss Local Code, Swiss GAAP standards, and US GAAP is a plus
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
