Responsibilities
- Conduct price negotiations, contract discussions, and delivery schedule agreements with suppliers
- Oversee procurement of materials across all component groups and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Review and approve purchase orders and manage supplier communications, including supplier evaluation and selection
- Lead a team of up to 10 buyers and administrative procurement staff
- Promote a collaborative and efficient working environment
- Drive continuous improvement through regular performance reviews and market analyses
- Conduct annual negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable terms
- Ensure long-term, sustainable supplier relationships and monitor market trends regarding pricing developments and product innovations
- Provide strategic input on inventory management, product substitution, and sell-off strategies
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in procurement
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience procuring electronic components
- Degree or equivalent qualification/training in business administration, electronics, or a related field
- Strong affinity for technical processes and products
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
- Strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills
- Flexible and willing to travel for business, with approximately 10% travel requirement
