About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the underwriting and operations team focused on risk analysis, mid-market broker/client service, and operational activities (screening quotation requests, preparing issuance documents), providing underwriting support with an emphasis on operational excellence.
- Contribute to the development and execution of commercial strategies aimed at revenue growth and customer retention.
- Evaluate proposals, renew contracts, and monitor claims, ensuring compliance with insurer policies.
- Maintain close contact with brokers, partners, clients, and internal areas, acting as the focal point for segment-related requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk policies.
- Monitor KPIs, report results to senior management, and propose improvements and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for new products, processes, or solutions for the segment.
- Identify and adopt best market practices.
- Drive continuous process improvement with a focus on operational excellence.
- Manage the business pipeline and support complex negotiations.
- Monitor and ensure target achievement and process improvements.
- Approve risks within delegated authority.
- Support technical training and team development.
- Promote cross-functional integration (underwriting, claims, commercial, operations, etc.).
- Prepare and review management reports and results presentations.
- Participate in strategic projects led by the executive team and take part in internal committees.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by resolving conflicts or complaints when they arise.
