About the role
- THAAD Systems Engineer supporting a deployed Field Engineering team for THAAD KSA Program. Troubleshooting radar anomalies and ensuring radar system health and integration with operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Support a deployed Field Engineering team supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Radar System
- Troubleshooting and resolving radar system anomalies (e.g. REX, BSG, Antenna/Sub-Array/TRIMMs) using engineering test methodologies and software tools
- Interpreting diagnostics and satellite tracks to assess overall health of the radar as well as assist in providing weekly reports on the status of engineering
- Executing data archival and assisting in software installation
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (Security+)
- 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting and operational checkout of AN/TPY-2 systems
- Experience working in an on-site integration and test team
- Experience operating the Radar to collect calibration data.
