About the role
- Staff Accountant handling accounts payable, receivables, and payroll tasks for Aetos Systems, Inc. Ensuring accuracy in financial activities and supporting audits with detailed financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities.
- Process direct and indirect invoices for payment.
- Record monthly credit card statement transactions.
- Process Accounts Payable EFT batches.
- Process expense reports.
- Prepare General Ledger entries as needed.
- Handle payroll responsibilities to include:
- Payroll tax and pension activities.
- Post bi-weekly leave accruals.
- Manage timesheet and labor responsibilities, including:
- Reconciling labor between internal and external timekeeping systems.
- Weekly labor processing.
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as:
- Analyzing monthly and weekly General Ledger balances.
- Assisting with financial audits.
- Processing Accounts Receivable payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
- Deltek Costpoint experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Deltek Costpoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees and customers.
