Responsibilities
Lead the planning and design of a wide range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects
Stream and wetland restoration
Dam remediation
FEMA floodplain analyses and permitting (No-Rise, LOMR, CLOMR)
Culvert and bridge replacement
Stormwater planning and design
Watershed studies and asset management
Site/civil development and public utility design
Programmatic engineering support
Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept development through final design, permitting, and construction support
Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables
Interface with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies to build and maintain strong professional relationships
Collaborate with internal teams, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians, to develop comprehensive engineering solutions
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
Travel occasionally to client sites across the U.S. as needed
Approach complex engineering challenges with creativity and problem-solving
Maintain composure and professionalism under high-pressure or fast-paced situations
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent software
Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (2D modeling experience preferred)
Familiarity with GIS tools and applications is a plus
Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management regulations
Experience with ODOT standards and hydraulic-related pre-qualifications is desirable
Education: Required: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in water resources; Preferred: Masters degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources; Ohio PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
