About the role
- Senior Traffic Analyst/Project Manager leading traffic engineering projects at Arcadis in Orlando, FL. Collaborating with senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to improve safety and operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as client facing project manager on traffic engineering projects with a focus on improving safety and operations
- Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects and programs
- Provide written and verbal updates on the status of projects to clients and internal senior management
- Present technical results and recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with a wide range of subject matter experts including survey, roadway design, and environmental to successfully deliver client projects
- Work with client managers and operational leaders to develop project pursuit strategies and plans
- Utilize knowledge and experience conducting and documenting traffic studies following nationally accepted modeling practice
- Assist engineers in developing technical approaches and review technical results prepared by others
- Lead project team in the preparation of traffic engineering plans for signal designs, signing and marking designs, conceptual designs for intersections, and/or Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) designs
- Under leadership of senior program managers, coordinate and interface with clients to discuss technical elements of the project and present analysis results
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns in areas of technical proficiency and consultancy
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to obtain Florida PE within one 2months of hire
- Must possess a U.S. Driver’s License
- Experience in operational and/or safety analysis
- Experience with Traffic Analysis and Engineering principles
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: FDOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, intersection conceptual drafting, or safety studies
