About the role
- Senior Legal Counsel providing strategic legal advice to support the General Counsel at Neko Health. Focused on legal issues for US operations, technology, and healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Counsel and provide strategic legal advice to US operations, engineering, clinical and regulatory teams
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to inform strategy and facilitate business objectives
- Review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with operations and technology
- Monitor and advise on privacy and healthcare regulations in the US and other key markets
- Support the development and implementation of risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a well-regarded US law school; admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
- 8-10 years of relevant legal experience
- Proven experience in commercial, corporate law and exposure to labor and employment law
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of drafting and managing complex legal agreements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Commercially minded and able to deliver innovative and practical solutions at the intersection of law and disruptive technology
- Collaborative, team player and persuasive communicator
