About the role
- Senior Engineer responsible for planning and conducting engineering activities at DTE Gas Company. Collaborating with teams on complex engineering projects while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and conducting engineering activities
- Use advanced techniques and application of theories, precepts, practice and disciplines
- Participate on and lead teams of field employees, technicians, engineers and other personnel
- Develop, coordinate, and direct important projects or field engineering assignments with complex features
- Perform assigned engineering studies, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems
- Develop models and analyze data to support improvement programs, techniques & solutions
- Interface with outside departments, vendors, suppliers, and reliability entities
- Develop or assist in presentations of engineering-related projects to all levels of management & external parties
- Plan and manage group workflow to meet budgets and schedules
- Mentor and provide guidance/direction for less experienced staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Minimum of 4 years of job relevant experience
- Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering or job relevant discipline
- Previous integrity assessment (ILI, DA) experience
- Previous risk assessment experience
- Previous experience writing and executing pipeline integrity processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
