About the role
- Senior Director of Application & Data Integration overseeing integration strategy and execution at AmeriLife. Leading a high-performing team to ensure data governance and compliance across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the enterprise integration strategy using MuleSoft and other middleware platforms
- Architect modular, scalable, and secure backend systems aligned with enterprise data models and governance standards
- Drive modernization of legacy integrations and adoption of event-driven and API-first architectures
- Enforce data governance policies and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation across all integration points
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of integration architects, engineers, and QA specialists
- Ensure high availability and performance of integration services through proactive monitoring and incident management
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise application integration
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Deep expertise in MuleSoft, API management, event-driven architecture, and middleware platforms
- Strong understanding of data governance, data modeling, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration patterns
- Proficiency in integration testing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, TOGAF, PMP) are a plus
