Responsibilities
- Mapping and ongoing monitoring of the main variables that affect the formation of short- and long-term energy prices;
- Preparation of multidisciplinary analyses and studies related to future scenarios of spot prices (PLD), market prices, hourly PLD, sector charges, GSF, among others;
- Discussions and data collection with various areas and sectors that impact short- and long-term price formation;
- Research, processing and analysis of market data to support the preparation of the department's reports;
- Analysis of the functioning of new markets: price formation mechanisms, capacity markets, environmental markets, transmission and generation expansion, main risks for generators, energy procurement formats for consumers, opening of the free market, etc.;
- Assist in the development of tools to optimize operational routines, risk analysis and pricing of energy products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related fields;
- Solid experience in the energy sector;
- Strong knowledge of short- and long-term energy price formation;
- Broad knowledge of Decks, modeling processes and the NEWAVE, DECOMP and DESSEM models.
