About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review month-end close reports, financial statements, and analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Develop a deep understanding of period close processes, reporting requirements, and journal entries, ensuring timely completion in alignment with company deadlines.
- Continuously update and enhance accounting policies and procedures to support best practices and efficiency improvements.
- Create and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits, compiling and preparing supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial reports for both internal and external audits.
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting matters.
- Ensure adherence to NOV’s corporate policies and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Required)
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance (Preferred)
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience (Required)
- CPA certification or actively working toward completion (Preferred)
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm (Preferred)
- Prior experience in a public company (Preferred)
