Responsibilities
- Supports the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management team by delivering data-driven insights
- Focus on procurement analytics, including cost and price analysis
- Responsible for maintaining procurement databases and data accuracy
- Develops reports and presentations that translate complex information into actionable strategies
- Presents findings to senior stakeholders and sourcing partners
- Collaborates with business-line stakeholders to understand their objectives
- Extracts data from multiple sources for reporting or analysis
- Designs and builds management information solutions and analyses
- Communicates findings and recommendations clearly
- Analyzes supplier bids/proposals to determine total cost of ownership
- Performs industry research and analysis
- Develops and tracks key performance indicators for the team
- Recommends sourcing/contracting opportunities
- Cross-trains team members in analytical tools and strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics/statistics, data analytics, finance/economics, management information or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years’ equivalent job-related experience with emphasis on analytics
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the financial services sector preferred
- Working knowledge of databases and the norms for data-management practices
- Analytical, mathematical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (advanced skills), Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint
- Fundamental proficiency in common business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects or similar)
- Fundamental proficiency in the use of Standard Query Language (SQL) or similar tools for data-informed business situations.
