About the role
- Policy Analyst providing part-time support to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Conducting policy research, development, and analysis, and drafting related documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide part-time support to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery by conducting policy research, development, and analysis
- Draft, review, and revise policies, SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans
- Conduct policy reviews to ensure compliance with DoD, federal, and interagency standards
- Support action officer-level responsibilities in policy development and coordination
- Maintain and update the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) partner engagement database
- Analyze emerging DoD and federal directives to assess impact on BUMED security and emergency management programs
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Emergency Management, Security Studies, Public Policy, Information Security, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Successful completion of the Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) Course within the last 3 years
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a federal security clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
