About the role

Responsibilities
- Act as the Business Privacy Officer for Aetna
- Provide strategic legal counsel to internal business partners
- Advise business partners on privacy legal and regulatory compliance
- Identify business and legal risks and provide solutions
- Develop understanding of business and operational goals of internal clients
- Manage other colleagues on the health care business privacy team
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of legal experience focused on health care privacy law
- Experience leading a team and/or various legal projects
- Deep subject matter expertise of privacy laws such as HIPAA and GLBA
- Ability to synthesize and apply multiple regulatory frameworks to business activities
- Demonstrated analytical skills and strong legal project management and facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one state
