About the role
- IT Service Manager ensuring smooth operation and development of IT infrastructure for a leading metal processing company. Supporting staff in Düsseldorf and Dresden with IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- First- and second-level support for employees in Düsseldorf and Dresden
- Administration and maintenance of endpoints (PCs, tablets, smartphones, printers) using modern management tools
- Procurement and installation of hardware, software and peripherals
- Management and optimization of the local server infrastructure
- Execution and monitoring of backup processes
- Administration of security solutions and WLAN infrastructure
- Support of cloud applications and collaboration platforms
- Maintenance and development of the ticketing system
- Support of Group IT in strategic projects and process optimizations
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in an IT-related field
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience in IT administration and support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, networking technologies, and cloud services
- Experience in IT security and mobile device management
- Fluent German and English skills
- Experience in technical documentation and project management
- Excellent communication skills, service orientation, and problem-solving ability
