Responsibilities
Provides specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations and maintenance.
Acts as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.
Shares Accountability with the Project Piping Lead for compliance with the TES and project safety initiatives.
Responsible for providing input to the Piping Lead on designer resource requirements including appropriate quantity and skill set of designers for the project scope.
Accountable for the overall allocation, maintenance, and reporting of designers thorough the project.
Maintains awareness of schedule, milestones, and challenges of the project and communicates to the Project Piping Lead.
Coordinates training for designers.
Assists in project reviews and team checks as required to ensure quality.
Coordinates implementation of Piping Best practices.
Drives the implementation of Dow MET and best practices.
Ensures compliance with Dow standards maximizing value for the business and providing the lowest long-term cost to operate and maintain.
Responsible for deliverable consistency across all designers in the project team.
Mentors and Coaches new designers as required.
Gathers lessons learned from projects and leverage these learning’s to Project. Deliver Value in design.
Drives NO CHANGE MENTALITY.
Responsible for managing bulks against authorization estimate quantities per progress check point agreed to with the Piping Lead and alerts Piping Engineer Lead of bulk changes.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree AND 3 years of relevant work experience OR 8 years of experience in piping engineering design.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
