About the role
- Junior Web Python Engineer joining AscentCore to build modern Python web applications. Collaborating with senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior engineers and technical leads to implement web features and fix bugs
- Assist in designing and developing backend services using Python and **Django**
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards
- Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback to improve your coding practices
- Help test, debug, and optimize web applications for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA) to deliver features on time
- Contribute to documentation and help improve internal tools and workflows
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience (or strong internship/project experience) in Python web development
- Familiarity with one or more web frameworks such as **FastAPI**, **Django**, or **Flask**
- Basic understanding of databases and ORMs (e.g., **SQLAlchemy**, **Django ORM**, **Tortoise ORM**)
- Experience with **Git** and an understanding of collaborative version control workflows
- Eagerness to learn about CI/CD, Docker, and modern DevOps practices
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Willingness to engage in full-stack development and contribute across the stack as needed
