IP Engineering Services Part-Time Intern assisting in network operations and automation solutions at Nokia. Collaborating with experienced engineers for hands-on experience in telecommunications environment.
Responsibilities
Assist our team with the installation/commissioning/upgrade/integration of IP/MPLS routers & switches in the lab environment
Design and document lab network topologies and support lab management.
Review and validate technical documentation (e.g., Method of Procedures — MoP)
Offer assistance with different project activities like deployment, integration, migration/transformation, audit, acceptance tests etc.
Contribute to network automation projects, primarily using Python.
Explore and support potential AI/ML use cases
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
Current enrollment in a related BS (4th grade): Telecommunication/Electronics and Communication/Electrics and Electronics Engineering/Computer Engineering, etc.
You can join us for 3 days (not less) in a week, and can have some flexibility considering exam periods.
Knowledge of IP/MPLS solutions/technologies and networking products (routers, switches, etc.).
Basic understanding of Automation (Python) & Data/AI concepts and a data-driven mindset with the willingness to explore potential use cases.
Basic knowledge of Linux & Virtualization technologies (Redhat, Centos, Hypervisor, KVM, Vmware etc.)
Excellent verbal & written English communication skills, self-motivated, eager-to-learn attitude, with a willingness to grow and share knowledge!
It would be nice if you also had:
Candidates with Nokia Service Routing Certification (SRC) are preferred; NRS1 certification & Upper level (NRS2 IRP, MPLS, Services, etc.)
Multi-vendor (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) certification is a plus
Hands-on experience with at least one of the SW programming languages.
