About the role

Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day privacy matters across Arlo Europe and Innovation AB entities.
- Lead privacy assessments for new products, services, and privacy in AI systems, ensuring privacy by design is embedded from the outset.
- Serve as the local AI Officer for Arlo Europe, collaborating on AI Act compliance and system mapping.
- Manage operational privacy tasks including DPIAs/PIAs, ROPA entries, DSRs, incident response, and contract reviews.
- Contribute to regulatory workstreams, including legal analysis and implementation of new data regulations such as the Data Act.
Requirements
- Law degree with specialization or strong focus on data protection, technology law, or AI governance.
- +5 years of proven experience in data privacy and protection, ideally within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations, including practical experience with DPIAs/PIAs, ROPA, DSRs, and incident management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead privacy assessments for new products and services, including those involving AI.
- Experience advising on privacy matters in cross-border contexts and working with global stakeholders.
- Ability to act as a first point of contact for operational privacy matters and provide clear, actionable legal advice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts into business-friendly guidance.
