About the role
- Observability Engineer tasked with maintaining HPE's observability infrastructure while collaborating across teams for system performance enhancements. Role requires flexible working and US Citizenship with a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of a larger technical team, working as an Observability Engineer in an OpsRamp environment.
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the observability infrastructure.
- Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Improve system performance and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and fix root causes of issues.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance and effectiveness of the OpsRamp platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 6-8 years working experience in related fields desired.
- Certifications Required DD8750 - Security Plus or higher Security Certification (CISSP, CASP, etc)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP).
- Proven experience with the OpsRamp platform is a strong plus.
- Experience with at least 1 other observability tool (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, Splunk) is preferred.
