Responsibilities
Track, monitor, and report on key Supplier KPI’s, including quality and delivery metrics.
Create and implement strategic action plans to resolve systemic challenges, driving sustainable change/improvement.
Responsible for identifying, selecting, and qualifying Suppliers that align with future Company goals while ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost standards.
Assess supplier capacity, capability, and risk for existing and new programs.
Support commodity strategies and dual sourcing initiatives.
Provides advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.
Drive improvements utilizing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Problem-solving tools.
Analyzes design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
Support and drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in the early product design phase.
Works cross-functionally with internal teams to align on requirements and resolution of systemic issues.
Analyze data effectively, summarize results, create reports, and use visual management tools effectively.
Track action plans from Supplier audits and assessments and monitor their activity for completion and correctness consistently.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study required.
Experience working in or with machine shops is required; leading a machine shop is preferred.
Supply Chain experience is preferred.
Experience with Quality Standards including AS9100, and NADCAP.
Minimum of five years’ experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing practices, and Problem Solving, including 8D, 5-Why.
Strong skills in MS Windows, including Word, PPT, Excel, and Project.
The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
