Enterprise & Application Security Architect designing secure application frameworks at TD SYNNEX. Collaborating globally to integrate security into all software development stages.
Responsibilities
Lead and evolve TD SYNNEX’s secure application architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise and cybersecurity strategies.
Embed security-by-design (“shift left”) into software development: threat modeling, code reviews, code scanning tools, and automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct manual code reviews and security assessments where automation is insufficient.
Develop reference architectures and roadmaps covering application, component, and cloud security (including WAF/CDN).
Apply expertise in web authentication and authorization models to ensure secure access control across applications and services.
Integrate API security best practices into architecture and development processes to safeguard data exchange and service integrity.
Train and mentor developers and colleagues on secure coding, defensive programming, and application security best practices.
Collaborate across IT and business units to identify risks and close security gaps.
Lead or support Proof of Concept projects to evaluate new emerging technologies and innovative security tools.
Requirements
7+ years in enterprise or application security architecture.
Strong coding background – ideally evolved from Software Security Engineer to Architect.
Expertise in SDLC/SSDL, DevSecOps, and tools like SAST, DAST, SCA.
Hands-on experience with threat modeling, secure code reviews, and cloud-native security.
Solid understanding of network and web application firewalls.
Proven leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and to deliver results.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience collaborating across global teams and cultures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
