Director of Supply Chain overseeing comprehensive supply chain strategies for US Tool Group. Managing operations, supplier relationships, and team leadership, ensuring efficient product movement.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring the efficient movement of products from suppliers to customers.
Manage and mentor the supply chain team. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the department.
Oversee supplier relationship management, negotiation of contracts, and performance evaluation to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products and services.
Build strong partnerships with key suppliers and vendors.
Oversee and implement cost savings initiatives that bring value to our customers and US Tool.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions and address potential supply chain risks such as natural disasters, vendor issues, and regulatory changes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to optimize processes and improve overall performance.
Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment of supply chain functions with broader business goals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Promote sustainability initiatives by evaluating environmentally friendly alternatives in sourcing and logistics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a team of supply chain professionals.
Deep knowledge of the Industrial Supply market, suppliers, and best practices
