About the role

• Director of Supply Chain overseeing comprehensive supply chain strategies for US Tool Group. Managing operations, supplier relationships, and team leadership, ensuring efficient product movement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring the efficient movement of products from suppliers to customers.
• Manage and mentor the supply chain team. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the department.
• Oversee supplier relationship management, negotiation of contracts, and performance evaluation to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products and services.
• Build strong partnerships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Oversee and implement cost savings initiatives that bring value to our customers and US Tool.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions and address potential supply chain risks such as natural disasters, vendor issues, and regulatory changes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to optimize processes and improve overall performance.
• Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment of supply chain functions with broader business goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Promote sustainability initiatives by evaluating environmentally friendly alternatives in sourcing and logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a team of supply chain professionals.
• Deep knowledge of the Industrial Supply market, suppliers, and best practices
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and industry trends.
• Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and distribution strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
