About the role
- Chief Technology Officer responsible for operationalizing AI within defense and national security initiatives. Leading strategic direction and innovation at MetroStar to enhance mission capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Transform AI prototypes and research into mission-ready, scalable systems deployed across strategic DoD and National Security accounts.
- Drive integration of intelligent technologies into edge operations, logistics, ISR, and command-and-control systems to enhance decision advantage and operational efficiency.
- Unlock RDT&E funding by aligning AI-enabled architectures with SBIR Phase III, OTA pathways, and other public-private innovation models to accelerate program funding and growth.
- Deliver technical oversight and strategic direction for R&D programs, including Falcon C2 and CBM+ KC-46.
- Work closely with MetroStar’s Chief Innovation Officer, Distinguished Tech Fellows, and executive leaders to synchronize innovation, delivery, and growth strategies.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire cross-functional technical teams, fostering a collaborative culture of excellence, agility, and mission alignment.
- Champion MetroStar as a preferred AI integrator across defense programs by operationalizing AI at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field required; MBA or equivalent leadership experience in government technology strategy and innovation strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading technology initiatives in both government and industry, with a focus on translating emerging technologies into operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating the mission needs, acquisition pathways, and compliance standards of the DoD and broader National Security ecosystem, including emerging tech adoption cycles.
- Experience working alongside or supporting Special Operations Forces or high-tempo mission environments, with an appreciation for their operational demands and innovation speed.
