Responsibilities
- Advise and represent clients at coroner’s inquests in healthcare sector
- Support clients in responding to investigations by regulators
- Work closely with NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, indemnifiers and insurers
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team
Requirements
- 5+ years PQE in healthcare regulatory, disciplinary and inquest work
- Knowledge and experience working with regulators such as the GMC, GDC, GOC, NMC, and HCPC
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage high-volume and complex caseload
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Experience supervising more junior team members
