Entry-level engineer working on water and wastewater projects at Hazen and Sawyer. Preparing deliverables, supporting senior engineers, and participating in fieldwork and site visits in New York.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports
Work directly with senior level engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop
Manage data for process modeling and design
Attend client and internal project management meetings
Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment
Support multiple projects from planning through construction
Participate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering
Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry
Strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
EIT certification (preferred)
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering (preferred)
Conducts self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC (preferred)
