Electrical Systems Project Engineer providing technical support for installations globally at SRT Marine Systems. Ensuring compliance and optimizing performance of various electrical systems during projects.
Responsibilities
Provide in-person and remote support to field installation teams and subcontractors
Create, review, and check electrical installation schematics and plans
Physically oversee and/or undertake installations with a 'hands-on' approach
Train and coach field engineering teams to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship
Help build and maintain standard work procedures and standards
Review equipment installations, identify issues, and propose/rectify remedial work
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Document installation procedures and generate detailed reports for project stakeholders
Help devise and define long-term maintenance programs for optimal system operation
Requirements
Time served apprenticeship or QBE with holding a minimum 17th Edition
Proven experience in electrical installations – for example integrated CCTV and building monitoring systems, building power systems and or communication towers
Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings, schematics, standards and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues
The role encompasses both our MDA System and the physical building electrical infrastructure.
