Analyst in expense reimbursement and Accounts Payable at Mindtickle. Responsible for processing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Daily Review and Audit: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring all submissions adhere to the corporate T&E policy, including proper documentation (receipts), approvals, and expense categorisation
Compliance: Verify compliance with company policies, local tax regulations, and accounting standards. Identify and flag non-compliant or questionable expenses for resolution
Reimbursement and its accounting: Prepare and initiate accurate and timely reimbursement payments via payroll or accounts payable systems along with posting necessary accrual and settlement journal entries
System Management: Utilize and maintain the expense management system (e.g., Expensify) for efficient processing and reporting
Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding T&E policy, expense report submissions, and reimbursement status, providing clear and concise guidance
Policy Clarification: Interpret and communicate complex T&E policies to employees and managers across various departments
Training: Assist in developing and delivering training materials for employees on the expense reporting system and policy updates
Accounts Payable related activities: Supporting Accounts Payable function with processing invoices, payment settlements and helping in month-end books close related activities like posting accruals and other ad-hoc activities
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external financial audits by providing requested documentation and explanations related to expense activities
Analytical activities: Ability to analyse large datasets and identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks
Requirements
Proven experience in Expense Reimbursement and Accounts Payable domain
Excellent analytical skills
Have the ability to work hybrid from Pune.
Basic fundamental knowledge of accounting principles along with expertise in IGAAP and US GAAP financial reporting would be an added advantage.
Have earned a Bachelor’s Degree (in Commerce) with 2-5 years of relevant experience
