Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate and prompt follow-up of unpaid or denied claims/charges
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff members

- Stay current with all assigned payer updates
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in Medical Physician billing, collections and/or reimbursement
- Knowledge of patient billing, billing transmission, and electronic billing systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Blue Cross, United Health Care, Medicaid, commercial insurance and HMO carriers
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9/CPT coding
- Competency in coding CPT and ICD9 related to reimbursement
