About the role
- Field Quality Engineer supporting the Field Quality Team at Zoox. Developing troubleshooting methods and performing failure analysis for vehicle components while ensuring product quality.
Responsibilities
- Support the Field Quality Team
- Develop, document, and implement troubleshooting and investigatory methods for Zoox vehicle components
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to improve Zoox products and customer experience
- Use technical background to perform failure analysis on vehicles and at the bench
- Record findings and communicate critical information to cross-functional teams
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years experience in automotive, EV, or aerospace
- Ability to read technical drawings, GD&T and navigate CAD models
- Broad technical background with mechanical and electrical systems, experience with chassis, thermal or powertrain systems would be highly desired.
- Strong failure analysis abilities and poke-yoke
- Experience performing root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to effectively communicate investigation findings and technical information
