About the role
- Software Application Engineer developing software for transmission systems in construction machinery. Engaging in calibration, testing, and continuous improvement in a dynamic engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Software calibration and configuration for transmission systems of construction machinery equipment
- System definition, component selection and documentation for software application projects
- Preparation and execution of safety- and functional tests on HIL (Hardware in the loop) and SIL (software in the loop) systems
- Support and Definition of functional specifications together with clients and/or expert teams
- Field Support related to troubleshooting, fine-tuning parameters, testing and validation
- Continuous improvement of existing application tool chain, processes, and approaches in interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, vehicle technology or familiar
- 6+ years of professional experience in the environment of technical machines
- Good understanding in terms of vehicle powertrain, vehicle electronics, CAN bus systems
- Experience with at least one high-level programming language (e.g. Matlab, Python)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex matters to all stakeholder (e.g. customers).
