About the role

  • Customer Application Support Engineer providing technical support for Linux BSP and driver integration issues at NXP. Collaborating with customers during product development phases for embedded applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline technical support for customer issues related to Linux BSP, kernel, bootloaders, and driver integration.
  • Debug real-time issues across hardware, kernel, and applications.
  • Work with Yocto, Buildroot, or similar Linux build frameworks.
  • Customize BSP layers and optimize system boot times.
  • Develop and integrate Linux device drivers for peripherals.
  • Support implementation of industrial communication protocols.
  • Create application notes and conduct customer training.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Embedded Linux, driver development, and industrial embedded applications.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals
  • Experience with Yocto/Buildroot
  • Excellent customer communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or Electrical Engineering (EE/EEE)
