Responsibilities
- Manages the Wellness Center and Wellbeing initiatives for WVU Medicine and the Health Sciences Campus
- Develops an annual operating plan based on employee needs and interest
- Creates awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
- Promotes programs and delivers services
- Assesses participant/patient satisfaction and tracks all employee participation
- Provides support in the operation of wellness programs
- Offers annual wellness survey to all employees
- Maintains responsibility for preparation and spending approval of wellness budgets
- Develops and monitors policies concerning wellness programs
- Manages the Key Rewards program for all insured employees
- Oversees data analysis for outcome reporting
- Works with Human Resources to link Wellness and Benefits
- Provides ergonomic evaluations and makes recommendations
- Ensures appropriate delegation of departmental activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field such as Exercise Physiology, Public Health or related field
- A Wellness Certification
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
- Six years’ experience in wellness programming, health promotion with one at management level
- Masters preferred
- Certified Wellness Practitioner
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Experience with wellness in health care industry preferred
