About the role
- Intern assisting the Riverscapes and Shorelines Team in ecological restoration engineering projects in San Diego. Supporting water resource projects with hands-on exposure in a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities
- Support projects focused on water resources—particularly riverine and wetland systems
- Gain hands-on exposure across a range of project types and phases, including planning, design, and construction
- Work from WRA's San Diego office approximately three days per week, with the option to work remotely up to two days per week
- Participate in approximately three to four site visits over the course of the internship
Requirements
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil, environmental or agricultural engineering
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teams
- Passion to learn and assist in delivering quality projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity in HEC-RAS
- Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D
