Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer role focusing on technical growth at Wood. Hybrid position based in the U.S. requiring extensive electrical engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Uses advanced technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems and to complete any project tasks with minimal guidance and direction
Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks
Scope Management and Planning
Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical
Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline
Develop select engineering deliverables including philosophies, reports, specifications, calculations, data sheets, and technical requisitions
Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
Work with electrical engineers and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Registered Professional Engineer in one or multiple states preferred
Prefer 10 to 25 years’ experience with design for Heavy Industrial Installations
10+ years of experience in Chemical, Forest Industries, Pharma/Life Sciences, or Power Generation projects
Perform Electrical Design duties associated with project scope of work
Experience with Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control
Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and recommended practices used in North America & Canada
Strong ethical standards. High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
