Electrical Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining electrical systems for manufacturing. Collaborates across teams to ensure safe and efficient operations while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Champion electrical safety practices and programs.
Participate in safety audits and hazard identification.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA and company standards.
Lead electrical maintenance as program coordinator.
Design, modify, and maintain electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Lead and support capital and improvement projects.
Collaborate with other departments within the company to accomplish tasks/goals as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
PLC/controls experience preferred
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. (24V through 13.2KV)
Ability to read technical drawings and electrical documentation.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols e.g. Ethernet/IP, IO-Link, Modbus, Profibus.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration.
Proficient with engineering software and Microsoft Office.
