About the role
- Principal Delivery Stream Engineer leading procurement activities for APX Supply Chain Team at Westinghouse. Responsible for large scale AP1000 New Plant Procurement Projects with focus on quality and budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all the procurement activities for APX Supply Chain Team
- Ensure auxiliary equipment and components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements
- Responsible for large scale AP1000 New Plant Procurement Projects
- Partner with APX Supply Chain functional teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements
- Monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate
- Investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes
- Contribute to development of a sourcing plan that will minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience (contract/project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects)
- Ability to develop and maintain long term productive relationships with suppliers
- A team player collaborating with multiple regions & product lines to serve Westinghouse's customers
- Ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships
- Strategic & analytical orientation with ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results
- Experience with large and complex cross-functional projects
- Ability to travel globally up to 20% based on business needs
