About the role

• Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for implementing quality systems at Westinghouse. Ensure compliance and lead quality initiatives in project activities.

Responsibilities

• Help implement the Westinghouse Quality Management System, project quality plans, and project procedures for APX projects.
• Assure project team is adequately trained in project requirements and implementing procedures.
• Work with engineering, supply chain, and project management to support APX projects.
• Maintain compliance with the Westinghouse Quality Management System for project execution.
• Promote a mature and healthy Nuclear Safety Culture and Safety Conscious Work Environment.
• Guide safe, error free performance through active use and promotion of Human Performance tools and organizational learning.
• Communicate and implement quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement.
• Ensure rigorous programmatic oversight of specified activities.
• Recommend and implement solutions to quality problems, corrective and preventive actions, and ensure solutions are communicated and implemented to appropriate team members.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of nuclear quality assurance experience
• Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance regulations, codes, and standards required, including: • ISO 9001 and 19443, • 10CFR50 Appendix B, • ASME NQA-1, • ASME Section III B&PV Code, • 10CFR21, and comparable international regulations
• Abilities: • Application of Nuclear Safety Culture and Human Performance principles, • Application of engineering, manufacturing, fabrication and testing work processes, • Lead audits within 24 months
