About the role
- Sr. Accountant managing full-cycle accounting for multiple small LLC entities at growing business. Overseeing financial reporting and collaborating with external tax advisors for timely financials.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounting for multiple LLC entities with differing business models
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for each entity
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet schedules
- Track and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including variance analysis and executive summaries
- Maintain fixed asset and loan schedules
- Support revenue tracking across business lines (tuition, rental income, software/partnership revenue)
- Prepare year-end packages and coordinate with external CPA (including K-1 support)
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking
- Collaborate with team members responsible for collections and accounts payable to identify, escalate and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Implement process improvements and internal controls
- Support ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant
- Experience working with tax CPAs a plus
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Efficient time management skills to ensure compliance with established deadlines
- Proactive, results-oriented operating style with ability to identify issues and seek resolutions
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong oral communication and collaborating skills, articulates views in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in small business environments and QuickBooks accounting software
