Responsibilities
- Review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for Real Estate closings.
- Ensures that the title on properties are valid.
- Examines all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. to verify factors such as ownership or restrictions.
- Researches all title evidence required.
- Obtains descriptions of properties and names of involved parties.
- Examines individual titles to determine if any restrictions apply.
- Prepares reports that describe any title obstructions.
- Consults with pre-closer regarding title-related information.
- Enters data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment and other documents required by lender.
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
