About the role
- Director responsible for managing transportation operations across North America at Watts Industries. Overseeing freight procurement, shipment tracking, and leading logistics teams for seamless delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end transportation operations for North America, covering inbound, outbound, and inter-site flows
- Lead a team responsible for FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet shipments, ensuring seamless execution and high service levels
- Develop and execute carrier sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage carrier relationships
- Oversee shipment creation, carrier selection, and tendering processes using TMS and manual workflows
- Implement and manage real-time tracking, exception management, and customer communication protocols
- Lead centralized freight audit and payment processes, ensuring invoice accuracy, dispute resolution, and timely settlement
- Develop and monitor transportation KPIs (OTD, OTIF, cost per lane, dispute cycle time)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of transportation or logistics management experience, in multi-site manufacturing or distribution environments
- Expertise in FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet operations
- Strong working knowledge of transportation procurement, freight audit & pay processes, and TMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
