About the role
- Working student supporting the development and application of future radio technologies at Volkswagen. Collaboration in a multidisciplinary team to work on communication systems' standardization.
Responsibilities
- Support with knowledge management and development of tools/simulations
- Programming scripts and creating databases
- Simulation of communication systems
- Literature research (including ETSI and 3GPP documents, CEPT reports)
- Preparing presentations/reports on aspects of standardization and regulation of communication technologies
Requirements
- Student of communications/telecommunications engineering or electrical engineering / information technology
- Experience programming in Python
- Good English skills
- Experience with the MATLAB simulation tool
- Quick adaptation to forward-looking challenges in automotive radio communication
- Enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team
- Optional: knowledge of communication standards such as 5G, LTE and WLAN
- Experience programming with OMNeT++, SUMO and/or databases
- Basic knowledge of network technologies
