Responsibilities
Developing the next generation of Voi's vehicles focusing on battery packs, chargers, motors and motor controllers.
Owning the electrical perspective across the full product lifecycle: from early concepts and requirements through design, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, mass production and in-field quality support.
Collaborating closely with suppliers (especially in China) and in-house teams such as Firmware, Procurement, QA and Supply Chain.
Defining requirements, specifications, test plans and designs for new hardware, focusing on battery packs, motors and motor controllers.
Evaluating supplier solutions through design reviews and lab testing of samples.
Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
End-to-end experience bringing electrical products or systems to market (from concept and requirements to validation and mass production).
Strong skills in requirement and specification setting, testing and verification of electrical systems.
Experience with PCB design, ideally for BMS and related systems such as motor controllers and chargers.
Experience working closely with suppliers (preferably in Asia/China) in a structured project set-up.
Familiarity with CAN bus systems and interaction between hardware and firmware; experience in firmware is a plus.
Ability to support structured root cause analysis of complex electrical issues in the field.
