About the role

  • Technician in Occupational Safety at Telefônica working on safety programs to prevent workplace accidents. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations in Ribeirão Preto/SP.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the SESMT team of the São Paulo Regional Office
  • Implement occupational accident prevention programs
  • Conduct trainings, campaigns, lectures and meetings to disseminate safety and occupational hygiene standards and technical topics aimed at preventing workplace accidents
  • Coordinate CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) processes
  • Recommend, request and inspect safety protective equipment and tools
  • Carry out inspections at stores, call centers and field sites
  • Collect and analyze occupational accident statistics; calculate frequency and severity to adjust preventive actions, regulations and other technical measures that provide collective and individual protection
  • Distribute and manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform necessary controls for the ISO 45001 Management System
  • Contribute to ensuring the company achieves conditions that eliminate or minimize the risk of workplace accidents, preserving employees’ physical safety and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
  • Collaborate with CIPA in its programs, reviewing observations and proposals to adopt corrective and preventive measures against workplace accidents
  • Compile and consolidate data for the accident statistics report
  • Provide support for SIPAT (Internal Occupational Safety and Health Week), organizing necessary activities and resources
  • Promote campaigns, lectures and other training activities to disseminate safety standards and to inform and raise awareness among workers about unhealthy, hazardous and arduous activities, including monitoring and evaluating training and outreach
  • Comply with requirements to maintain the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and participate in Occupational Health and Safety programs
  • Be familiar with Telefônica's Environmental Policy and apply it in daily activities to ensure good environmental management practices

Requirements

  • Completed Technical Course in Occupational Safety – valid professional registration required
  • Previous experience in occupational safety
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Reside in Ribeirão Preto/SP or surrounding areas
  • Availability to travel
  • Valid driver's license for at least 1 year
  • Experience in the Telecommunications or Energy sector
  • Knowledge of management systems – ISO 45001 standard
