About the role
- Technical lead responsible for defining and evolving payment platform solutions at Vivo. Leading initiatives from discovery to implementation and ensuring high availability and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead in defining, implementing, and evolving platforms.
- Lead end-to-end technical initiatives: discovery, design, implementation, and support.
- Define, develop and institutionalize architectural standards, specifications, and reference implementations.
- Design end-to-end technical solutions for high-scale transactional environments.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, security, and high availability.
- Ensure idempotency, consistency, resilience, and low latency across flows.
- Define testing strategies for critical flows and guarantee technical quality.
- Implement observability using metrics, logs, tracing, and alerts.
- Collaborate closely with product, operations, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Support strategic technical decision-making.
- Act as a technical reference for the team and elevate engineering maturity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in solution architecture on public or hybrid cloud.
- Strong foundation in distributed systems, high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with microservices architecture and best practices for decoupling.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with messaging and event streaming (queues, pub/sub, retries, dead letter, and eventual consistency).
- Solid experience as a full stack developer, with backend work on high-criticality transactional systems.
- Experience with modern languages and frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, Python, and React.
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, and graph databases, including domain-driven data modeling.
- Experience with automated testing, quality strategies, and defining critical flows.
- Experience with CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and DevOps culture.
- Experience with observability, logging, metrics, and monitoring in high-scale environments.
- Ability to productize technology solutions from concept to operation.
- Ability to translate complex business rules into robust technical solutions.
- Hands-on profile with an architectural mindset and the ability to serve as a technical reference.
- Knowledge or experience with TM Forum standards and Open APIs is a plus.
- Practical experience with applied AI (LLMs, RAG, agents, or intelligent automation) is a plus.
