About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and scale the software that powers data processing pipelines
- Build robust, scalable systems that support low latency satellite tasking, telemetry, data automation, and image processing workflows
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines
- Develop containerized application deployments and real-time data pipelines
- Build and maintain integrations with global ground station networks
- Automate data ingestion, processing, and delivery workflows
- Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, and mission engineering teams
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Data Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development
- Proficiency in Kotlin and TypeScript, with Python experience
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, especially ECS, S3, and SQS
- Experience with containerized applications
- Familiarity with real-time data pipelines
- Strong background in designing, scaling, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure
- Ability to independently lead development efforts and manage shifting priorities
