About the role
- Payroll Lead ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance for U.S. and Canadian entities of G+D. Overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and supporting audits and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead end of end payroll processing for all Canada & USA legal entities
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations
- Review payroll outputs, reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end activities (W-2, T4, etc.)
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on payroll processes and systems
- Partner with Legal and Tax teams on audits, inquiries, and compliance matters
Requirements
- Ten (10)+ years of progressive payroll experience, including U.S. and Canadian payroll
- Experience in a Shared Services or centralized payroll environment
- Experience supporting multi-state and multi-provincial payrolls
- Advanced proficiency with HCM/HRIS platforms (i.e. Dayforce, ADP, ServiceNow)
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with HR reporting tools and analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- A specialized Canadian payroll designation of PCP or PLP is required
